Obituary of Jack Stratton

JACK STRATTON A Memorial Service will be held Friday February 15, 2013 at 2 P.M. in the Chapel of the Brusie Funeral Home here in Chico for Jack Stratton , Mr. Stratton passed away Wednesday February 6th 2013 here in Chico he was 92. Born April 12, 1920 in Bradshaw, Nebraska , Jack attended schools in Nebraska, he joined the U.S. Navy October 5, 1941 and served until October 5th, 1968. He married the Love of his life Ivydell Howard . Jack was self employed in the construction field, for over 40 years, during that time he worked for Hignell and Hignell here in the north valley, retiring in 1986. Jack loved gardening ,and also enjoyed a good cigar . He is survived by a son Earl "Bud" Stratton of MO, daughters Linda Hubb of Idaho, Gloria Hubb of Alaska, Barbara Hopkins of Paradise, CA , Peggy Ryan of Paradise, CA, Terri Magneson of Chico, Bridget Stratton Hogan of Paradise, also known as "Daddy Jack" to Mary Hogan of Paradise, and Thomie Hogan of Paradise, and Sandra Sloop of Nelson, also survived by a sister Glee Woods of Chico , 25 grandchildren , 30 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.
