Obituary of Edna Theadora Stewart

EDNA "EDY" T. STEWART A native of California and long time resident of Chico, Edna T. Stewart passed away June 14, 2009 at her home with family and friends by her side. Edy was born January 8, 1920 in Watsonville, CA to Dan and Mary Desoto. She was 89. She had been a selling supervisor for J C Penney's for 28 years. Edy was very active, she had been a member of both a Chico bowling league and Bidwell Golf Club, along with enjoying her Penney's Bunco group. But what was most important to Edna was the enjoyment and happiness of her 50 year friendship with partner Don Cummings. Edna is survived by her daughter, Patty Bonnel-Feder of Napa; grandsons, Greg A. Stevens of Calistoga, and Thomas A. Stevens of Rohnert Park; and two great- grandchildren, Lilly Star Stevens and Cody Stevens, both of Calistoga. Memorial contributions may be made to a National Kidney Foundation or the Humane Society.
