Obituary of David William Rollins

DAVID WILLIAM ROLLINS May 23, 1953 - July 27, 2009 Born in San Mateo, CA and raised in Chico, David worked for 20 years as an ironworker. He loved to work on his ranch in Butte Valley and being Papa cookie to his grandchildren. He loved sports, especially baseball and bicycling. He loved serving the Lord as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, he served as an elders quorum president for 5 years, he was the facilitator for the church's 12 step program and especially loved his work in the temple. He also served with Project Save, shipping supplies to over 32 poor nations. David is survived by his eternal wife, Susan Rollins of 20 years; his five daughters, Heidi Lange, Wendy Schaeffer, Heather Rossi, Ivy Sistrunk, Jessica Mitchell and 10 grandchildren; sister, Marilyn Del Bagge; brothers, Joey Rollins, Frank Rollins and late brother, Bruce Rollins; as well as many other beloved family and friends. Services will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Buschmann Rd. Chapel.
