Claude proudly served our country during WWII in the U.S. Navy. He married Regina Marie Hegarty on February 4, 1950 in Bakersfield, CA. and together they had 5 children. The family moved to Fillmore, CA where they spent the next 23 years. He donated much of his free time to the Boy Scouts and local Little League and served one year as the president of the Little League Association in Fillmore. Regina passed away in 1969. Claude married Marcella Francis Benson on August 21, 1971. They moved to Kenai, Alaska in 1975, where he built a log cabin on a lake. Claude worked for the oil industry as a mechanic for 35 years and retired May 23, 1989. After retiring from the oil business, he and Marcella moved to Paradise, CA in 1991. Claude was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the great outdoors. His life was his family; and he enjoyed camping, boating, and gatherings at their homes in Fillmore, Alaska and Paradise.
