Obituary of David Ortega Limas

DAVID ORTEGA LIMAS David Ortega Limas passed away on November 12, 2008 after an extended illness. He was born on August 16, 1939 in Orange, CA. He met his future wife, Suzanne while they were both stationed at the Fort Ord Army base in California. They settled in Orange County, California, and raised three daughters, Lydia, Alice and Rachael. In 1987, David and his family moved to Chico for the smaller town life, and love of the outdoors. David was an active person. His interests included sports, watching the Chico Heat baseball games, working in the yard, and his dog, " Nellie". David retired from Xerox Corporation to move to Chico and worked at Koret of California where he met many friends. Survivors include his wife, Suzanne; daughters, Lydia, Alice, and Rachael; son-in-law, Bill; three grandchildren, William, Brittany, and Amanda; sisters-in-law, Wanda, and Terry; nieces, nephews, and cousins; close family and friends, Tim, Steve, and Shawn, and younger brother Victor. Services will be held at Bidwell Chapel in Chico at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 16, 2008, with a viewing to begin at 2:00 p.m. David will be laid to rest at Riverside National Cemetery, in Riverside, California.
