Obituary of Joanne Gail Angel

JOANNE GAIL ANGEL Joanne Gail Angel of Chico, CA, passed away unexpectedly on May 24, 2010 at her home. Joanne was born on May 25, 1946 in Chico, CA to Anna and Joseph Pasinetti. Joanne attended local schools in Chico and graduated from Chico High School in 1964. Following graduation, she attended Sacramento Business College. She worked briefly at IBM in Sacramento, and then returned to Chico. She worked at the YMCA in Chico; The Oasis Resort in Maupin, Oregon, and she later worked and retired from Pacific Bell, and then worked and retired from the California Department of Forestry (Butte Fire Center and Headquarters in Oroville). Joanne is survived by her two sons, Daryl Scott Angel (Lara) and Daniel James Angel (Tracy), both of Chico; her sister, Judy Brillhart (Ron) of Durham; and her two grandsons, Caleb and Chris of Chico. Caleb and Chris were the light of her life. Joanne took the role of "Nana" as the most important job in her life. Joanne also leaves behind an uncle, John Rice (Doris) of Medford, Oregon, and many loving cousins and special friends. She was preceded in death by both of her parents. A Celebration of Joanne's life will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2010 from 11:00 - 2:00 p.m. in Koinonia Hall at the First Christian Church, 295 East Washington Ave., Chico. Please join us and share some food and some memories. Private Interment will take place at a later date.
