Obituary of Brad James Murphy

Brad Murphy, age 60, of Chico, passed away October 20, 2021. He was the son of Jim and JoAnn Murphy and was born, raised and lived his entire life in Chico. He attended Sierra View, Bidwell Jr. High and PV High School where he was a stand out long distance runner in Cross Country and Track. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and anything outdoors. He especially enjoyed his time around Bidwell golf course in his later years. He worked in various jobs throughout his life; retail, logging and farming. He was the nicest guy you could meet, putting others first and would do anything for you. He always had a smile on his face. Predeceased by his mother, he left behind his father James, brother and sister-in-law, Todd and Jennie, nephew Matt and niece Marann which he adored with his whole heart being an uncle. He has placed a huge void in all the lives of those who loved him. A celebration of his life will be held on April 29, 2024 @ 1pm at Glen Oaks Memorial Park, reception to follow. He will be laid to rest with his father at the same time. In lieu of flowers, donations are accepted to “Chico Project S.A.V.E” in honor of the Murphy Family.
